eLow-Verbal Investigatory Survey (eLVIS) Project Home

We present the electronic Low Verbal Investigatory Survey (eLVIS), a 30-item parent-report measure designed to assess communicative capacity in autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The eLVIS is short, easy to complete, and based on the atypical language trajectories specifically found in individuals with ASD.  Early results from a sample of almost 150 children ages 1- 8 years suggest that LVIS scores are informative about communicative capacity, and capture multiple communication dimensions in children with minimal verbal skills.
